Karl-Friedrich Scheufele presents a new model in the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono series and announces new projects for the Alpine Eagle Foundation

On October 5th, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele hosted an event on the shores of the Lake Geneva to present the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono timepieces. On this occasion, Chopard’s Co-President revealed the latest model in the series, fitted with a contemporary rubber strap and an unprecedented ‘Maritime Blue’ dial.

Inspired by the power of the eagle and the beauty of the Alps, the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono timepieces are all equipped with the chronometer-certified Chopard 03.05-C flyback chronograph movement. Three patents have been filled to guarantee accurate adjustments and optimal use of its chronograph functions, thus showcasing the finest expertise and innovation cultivated within the Manufacture.

Crafted in Lucent Steel™ – with some bi-material iterations in ethical rose gold – the Alpine Eagle XL Chrono offers several options with integrated metal bracelets, leather or rubber straps, paired with dials inspired by the palette of natural colours composing the beauty of the Alpine landscape.

While visiting the Aigles du Léman wildlife park in Sciez (Haute-Savoie, France), Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, along with Jacques-Olivier Travers and Ronald Menzel (all founding members of the Alpine Eagle Foundation), announced the latest news about the ongoing reintroduction of the white-tailed eagle project in the Lake Geneva region undertaken by the Alpine Eagle Foundation. They also revealed a new scientific mission in collaboration with the University of Bern to predict the potential impact of the future installation of wind turbines in the Swiss Alps on the golden eagle population, in order to avoid siting them in areas where there is a high risk of collision with the blades.

Since 2022, Chopard has been contributing directly to the funding of the Foundation’s programmes through a 41 mm-diameter Alpine Eagle timepiece in Lucent Steel™ or ethical 18-carat rose gold, adorned with a Pine Green dial. A portion of the profits from sales of these creations is donated to the Alpine Eagle Foundation.
