At the Conclusion of the 76th Venice International Film Festival, Jaeger-LeCoultre Honours the Major Award Winners
Venice, 7 September 2019 – At the closing ceremony of Venice International Film Festival this evening, Jaeger-LeCoultre recognised the winners of the Leone D’Oro award for Best Film and the Coppa Volpi awards for Best Actress and Best Actor by presenting each of them with a specially commissioned Reverso timepiece. These original pieces, created by the artisans at Jaeger-LeCoultre’s manufacture in the Vallée de Joux, have each been hand-engraved with the symbol of Venice: a winged lion, and the words ‘Leone D’oro’ and ‘Coppa Volpi’.
Todd Phillips received this year’s Best Film award (Leone d’Oro) for Joker.
The Coppa Volpi for Best Actress has been awarded to Ariane Ascaride for her role in Gloria Mundi.
The Coppa Volpi for Best Actor has been awarded to Luca Marinelli for his role in Martin Eden.
Sharing many of the same artistic values as the world of cinema and dedicated to supporting the filmmaking arts, Jaeger-LeCoultre is honoured to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its partnership with Venice International Film Festival this year.
